The Haiku Hillbilly Trio returns to Café Marc Aurel for Wailuku's First Friday Celebration! Featuring Rand Coon on guitar/banjo/harmonica and vocals, Randall Rospond on guitar and vocals and introducing the newest addition to the Haiku Hillbillys...Chris Erbacher on pedal steel and vocals. With a moonshine jug full of new tunes and the summer in full swing...this oughta be a hot one!

Tom Cherry & Mike Finkiewicz
Tom and Mike will be playing an evening of originals with a great groove as well as a great selection of classic rock tunes. They will be playing everything from Santana to Marvin Gaye to Robert Cray to Big Head Todd and the Monsters to John Mayer and the list goes on and on and on. Come down and enjoy with us!

Wine Tasting: South America
South America is our theme for July’s wine tasting. Chile & Argentina have been gaining much recognition for producing some very exotic, powerful wines. Chile is now the fourth largest exporter of wines to the USA. Location, location, location! With the incredible Andes to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west and favorable growing conditions makes these two countries the latest and greatest for delicious wines. Rio Thing
Sexy, Sultry, Smooth, Brazilian Jazz with Rio Thing - Renata, Bita, and Brian Como. Born in America and raised in Brazil, Renata Cordiero has been playing her sultry style of Brazilian jazz professionally for fifteen years. She has played everywhere from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires, from the mainland to Hawai‘i where she has a loyal local following. Her background in theater lends her performances a dynamic and engaging quality that sets her apart. She is accompanied by Rio de Janeiro native Bita Fonesca on guitar. What a treat to have these two perform live at Café Marc Aurel!

Steve Zuwala
Steve Zuwala is an award winning Country Recording Artist with Lamon Records of Nashville. He has seven #1 songs in his short career that started in 2005 and he won the 2007 and 2008 Hawaiian Music Awards Single of the Year and Country Single of the Year with his hit Toes in the Sand and Tough Guys. We are excited to have him here with us at Café Marc Aurel for an evening of sensational music!

Gene & Shea Argel
Father and son duo, Gene & Shea Argel are making their way about town these days. Gene, an accomplished pianist and favorite Maui musician and his son Shea, an up-and-coming singer/guitarist share the spotlight with popular standards, pop, blues, Latin and Brazilian music. Shea Argel’s CD, The Very Thought of You, was nominated for 2009 Hoku award for Jazz album of the year! Come check them out. A must-see-and-hear!

Drawing heavily on blues and classic rock with a little folk and a pinch of funk thrown in for good measure, this Seattle born singer/songwriter can bring the house down with a boogie-woogie rave up or draw you in with a heartrending ballad. Not to be missed.

Hand Jive Jazz Trio presents ‘One Mo' Time’
A night of blues-based swing, shuffle, slow funk, fast funk, back line, bebop and whatever else the moment inspires. Mike Buono on drums, Shiro Mori on guitar, and Gene Argel bringing us the thick, vibratory and complex sounds of the ultra-cool Hammond B3 organ! The Easy
Singer-songwriter Cheryl Rae & friends play smooth acoustic music from John Mayer to Sheryl Crow. The band consists of Steven Hodges (bass), Tommy Fernendez (lead guitar & vocals) and Clive Tucker (percussion). Performing on Maui since 1996, Cheryl’s currently working on her third CD and has played with and opened for artists such as Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and local legend Henry Kapono.

The last Monday of every month Mana‘o Radio DJ and Café Marc Aurel owner Mike Buono hosts a live jazz night with special guest players that are broadcasted live on Mana‘o Radio 91.5 FM. Jazz Café is always a lovely evening to come down and enjoy some live jazz and fine wines!

Maui’s own Flamenco guitarist, Indio, will be performing his original Flamenco compositions, accompanied by Makana Argel on percussion, Eddy ‘Nuno’ Aviles on bass and Vanessa Cerrito on palmas.
